Camping holidaymakers will also have to adjust to price increases for overnight stays this year.
But there are still comparatively cheap travel destinations.
Get out into nature and get some fresh air: Camping holidays are still very popular this year - although here, too, travelers have to shell out a little more money.
According to a recent analysis by Pincamp.de
, the ADAC camping portal,
prices have risen by seven percent across Europe .
Nevertheless, according to a report, it is still the cheapest form of vacation.

Camping holidays in Croatia most expensive
The leader in terms of accommodation costs is Croatia: campers will have to pay around 15 percent more in 2023 compared to the previous year, as
Pincamp
reports – that amounts to 69.30 euros.
The increased costs could be related to the introduction of the euro in Croatia and the increased quality of the camping offer.
The second most expensive is Italy with an average overnight price of 65.80 euros.
Switzerland has also raised its prices by 2.5 percent, but is "only" the third most expensive country for camping.
Great Britain alone has reduced its overnight prices by almost ten percent to an average of 47.10 euros.

Camping holidays 2023: savings potential in Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia
Although Germany is still a comparatively cheap camping destination this summer, prices have also risen by an average of eleven percent.
However, this does not seem to affect the desire to camp: “The price adjustments are understandable and are accepted by the campers.
This is shown by our booking data.
Germany remains one of the most popular and cheapest camping countries in Europe,” says Uwe Frers, camping expert and managing director of ADAC Camping GmbH.
Camping holidays in the federal states of Thuringia and North Rhine-Westphalia are particularly economical, where an overnight stay costs EUR 35.10 and EUR 36.80 respectively.

Booking early pays off on a camping holiday
If you want to book overnight stays at a campsite as cheaply as possible in the coming summer season, you should be quick.
Because the camping industry no longer sets its prices for just one season, but adjusts them to the occupancy rate and demand on a daily basis.
"I advise all campers to book as early as possible and thus secure low prices in good time," says Frers.
