"The offer of gems has never been so wide, and it's not over,"
predicts Isabelle Langlois, jewelry designer specializing in colored stones and from a family of Parisian merchants and Jura lapidaries.
This observation is confirmed by Louis Vuitton, a "young" player in Place Vendôme who has largely contributed to arousing interest in a wider range of stones: "We have
access to a much larger type than in the past, and is finally allowed to buy a color, a shine, a rarity, and not only a certificate",
rejoices the director of the stone purchasing department, who examines hundreds of thousands of (beautiful) gems each year and only buys one in a hundred.
Progress in extraction has also made it possible to multiply the sources, and the
“beautiful opportunities”.
This expanded offer has not, however, lowered the demand for houses, nor their investments, quite the contrary.
