An American was killed and six others, including five soldiers, injured in a drone attack on a base near Hasakah, in eastern Syria, the Pentagon announced on Thursday evening March 23.
The deceased is a US contractor, and the injured are five soldiers and another US contractor, the Pentagon said in a statement.
U.S. intelligence services consider the drone to be
"of Iranian origin
," the statement said.
