United States does not seek to enter into conflict with Iran

" after ordering the day before US airstrikes in Syria that killed pro-Iranian fighters.

“

Make no mistake about it, the United States does not seek conflict with Iran, but is prepared to act forcefully to protect its people

,” he said during a joint press conference with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Fourteen pro-Iranian fighters were killed by US airstrikes in eastern Syria overnight from Thursday to Friday, carried out in response to a drone attack that killed an American and injured six others.
