Two Israelis were injured this evening (Saturday) in a shooting attack in Hawara.
According to initial reports from the scene, a passing vehicle containing terrorists opened fire on the Israelis and fled the scene.
IDF forces began searching for the suspects and roadblocks were set up in the area.
This is the third shooting attack to take place in Hawara within weeks. About a week ago, the terrorist Lit Nassar opened fire on an Israeli vehicle near Einbus Square in the center of Hawara, moderately wounding 41-year-old David Stern, who was shot in front of his wife. Stern was armed, returned fire at the terrorist and hit him.
Three weeks before, at the same scene, the terrorist Abdel-Fattah Harusha shot dead the brothers Hillel Weigal Yaniv, residents of Har Bracha, aged 21 and 19.
Harusha fired a large number of bullets at them from a short range through the window of their car.
They were taken to Billinson Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
After the attack, about fifty settlers and extreme right-wing activists entered the village, and for more than five hours burned buildings, houses, and property in the town.
About two weeks later, the security forces killed the terrorist in Jenin.
