,” Vladimir Putin said in an interview broadcast on Russian television.

We agreed with President Lukashenko that we would place tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus without violating the non-proliferation regime
,” Vladimir Putin said.
Russia will have completed construction of a tactical nuclear weapons storage facility in Belarus by July 1, the Russian president said, adding that Russia would not actually transfer arms control to Minsk.
Russia has already stationed 10 aircraft in Belarus capable of carrying tactical nuclear weapons, he added.
