Mordi (Mordechai) Shapira in a new song, a protest anthem against the rise of anti-Semitism in the world.
"With the rise of anti-Semitism around the world, I decided to compose a song about Jewish pride. We must not be ashamed of our identity, and certainly not walk around in apprehension and fear," says Shapira.
"We must stand up for what we believe in and only strengthen our commitment to the Creator of the world. For example: wear a kippah and wear a tassel with pride, observe mitzvot with confidence and joy, or as he sings: 'Even when they hate us I stand and sing...'.. the words Written by the duo Klein Berry, arrangement and musical direction by Mandy Portnoy.
Lyrics:
Every day they rise up against us,
how much more is possible?
Even when they hate us,
I stand and sing!
They try to break us,
they think it's possible,
the faith burns in us
, this is an unbroken people
I'm Jewish.
I'm not ashamed.
I'm Jewish
I am not afraid of anything
.
I am a Jew. I
walk
with my God.
We
are
all
Jews. And
our father
is
still alive
.
