Crowds took to the streets this evening (Sunday) after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement to fire Defense Minister Yoav Galant, who stated last night that the legislation of the legal revolution must be stopped.
While crowds blocked the Ayalon lanes in both directions, another large demonstration began on Gaza Street in Jerusalem outside the Prime Minister's residence.
Thousands arrived shortly after the announcement of Gallant's firing and clashes began to develop between protesters and police after fences were breached.
The police forces used mace and cavalry to disperse the protesters and at least 15 people were arrested.

So far, Netanyahu has not responded with his voice to Gallant's statement, who responded to his dismissal on Twitter, and wrote: "The security of the State of Israel has always been and will always remain my life's mission."
Following the move, the organizers of the protest against the legal revolution announced that they would hold a spontaneous demonstration tonight in front of the Kirya in Tel Aviv and in front of the Prime Minister's house in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu summoned Gallant to his office and told him that he had lost confidence in him after he acted against the government and against the coalition while he was on a diplomatic visit abroad over the weekend. Minister Gallant did not coordinate his words with the Prime Minister in advance, thereby sabotaging efforts to reach a solution.
Those around the Prime Minister claim that the main reason for the move is "a weak and weak response on the part of Gallant against the refusals in the IDF, something that has no place".
It was also reported by Likud officials that Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Prime Minister Yair Netanyahu's son were the ones who pressured Netanyahu to fire Galant, and convinced him that he was undermining him and that he should show strength.
