A radiologist from the small town of Brunoy (Essonne), south of Paris, was indicted on Sunday for raping a patient, AFP learned from a police source, confirmed by the Evry prosecution.
The woman, in her 40s, went to a medical imaging center on Thursday to perform a pelvic ultrasound.
She accuses a radiologist, of the same age group, of having sexually assaulted her, in particular by using a probe, and of having made sexual comments to her.
According to a police source, the patient quickly interrupted the medical examination and issued a report on the digital platform for reporting attacks on persons and supporting victims (PNAV).
Contacted by the police, she then filed a complaint.
Two opposite versions
The radiologist was taken into custody on Friday, according to the prosecution.
Before the investigators, he denied the facts ensuring, among other things, that the woman had kissed him, indicates a source close to the file.
During a confrontation, the two people maintained their opposite version of the facts, specifies the police source.
On Sunday, the suspect was indicted and released under judicial supervision.
Of Tunisian origin, his passport was withdrawn from him in order to avoid any departure abroad, underlined the parquet floor.
The investigation, now entrusted to an investigating judge, is continuing.
