Hôtel-Dieu: a dying rehabilitation project

INQUIRY – Launched in 2019, the major hospital rehabilitation project may not see the light of day. Elected officials at the town hall of Paris refuse to see a private developer enter these historic and yet dilapidated places. Back to a sensitive issue.

This January 14, 2023, Emmanuel Macron has just completed a visit to the Paris Cathedral with the Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida.

The microphones are put away, everyone is fighting against the rain, and now the President of the Republic suddenly brings out this old sea serpent. 150 meters away, on the forecourt, stands the Hôtel-Dieu.

It has, of course, been reported to the president that due to political dissension at the mayor of Paris, the major hospital rehabilitation project, launched in 2019, may not succeed.

Of its 50,000 m2, 20,000 are available and could be fitted out to tell the story of Notre-Dame de Paris.
