Actor
Jonathan Majors,
recognized for his antagonistic role in
"Creed III"
and for playing the Marvel villain Kang the Conquerer in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", was
arrested
this Saturday in New York for allegations of
domestic violence .
The interpreter was detained after the police received a 911 alert from a 30-year-old woman who had to be taken to the hospital with
"minor head and neck injuries
," according to a statement from the security forces.
"A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old man was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. The victim reported to police that she was assaulted. Officers took the 33-year-old man into custody without incident," says the Official statement reproduced by the Variety site.
And it adds that "the victim suffered minor head and neck injuries and
was taken to an
area hospital in stable condition."
For his part,
A rep for Majors said the actor "hasn't done anything wrong" and said they hope to "clear his name and clear this up."
In addition to the relevant roles mentioned, Majors recently premiered at Sundance the acclaimed film "Magazine Dreams", which will be in theaters at the end of the year.
Majors is also a key piece for Marvel's projects for the next few years.
It is that his character of Kang, introduced in the last film,
was intended to become the main antagonist of the next phase of films
from the superhero studio.
