This is a first for the Château de Goulaine.
In six months, this private property, located about thirty minutes from Nantes, will make available ten rooms in which a show inspired by
Beauty and the Beast
will be performed .
On this occasion, 500 volunteers, whatever their age, are needed to ensure the tale revisited by the director Charles Mollet: actors, dancers, dressmakers for the costumes, ticket agents... all talents are welcome.

, specifies Claire des Minières, production manager at Polaris, the company organizing the event in collaboration with TF1 Spectacle.
In May and June, it will be given at the Château du Plessis-Bourré (near Angers) before arriving in the town of Haute-Goulaine, from September 22 to October 29, 2023, for six weekends.
30,000 spectators are expected.
The performances are based on an interactive journey: visitors are immersed in the adventure by wandering from room to room alongside actors or extras dressed in fancy costumes.
To volunteer and participate in this magical adventure alongside 24 professional actors, rehearsals will begin in May.
Initially, an information meeting was scheduled for March 30, but due to the enthusiasm, another was opened on March 29.
It is necessary to register to discover the project before applying.
Then, only the volunteers wishing for an important role will pass a small casting but it is not asked to be an excellent actor.
Once the distribution has been made, the volunteers will be mobilized once a week or only for dress rehearsal weekends from July.

Through this call for volunteers, the organizing company Polaris, which does not receive public subsidies for shows and generates profits from ticket sales only, wishes to bring heritage back to life through history.

, the 17th century is highlighted through historical references
,” explains Claire des Minières.
The other objective is to create social ties between the volunteers and to offer them dance or theater lessons to be ready on D-Day. It is also an opportunity to have privileged access, other than on simple visit, to this castle of the Loire of the Renaissance.
