The body of a woman, whose face was swollen and bloody, was discovered Saturday morning in the lobby of her building in Paris, according to police sources.
It was her husband, 30, who called the emergency services the morning after finding the lifeless body of his 29-year-old partner, according to a source familiar with the matter quoted by AFP.
According to his first statements, the latter, with whom he had just settled, had gone out on Friday evening and was to return at night.
When he woke up, noticing his absence, he said he left the apartment, located in the 20th arrondissement, to go looking for him before making the macabre discovery.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after paramedics arrived.
