Channel 14's main news anchor, Maggie Tabibi, was chosen today (Sunday) to lead the state memorial ceremony for the martyrs and victims of hostilities that will be held on Mount Herzl on this year's Memorial Day.
The channel emphasizes that her choice is personal and that she does not represent the channel or was chosen on its behalf.
It should also be noted that in the last few days most of the programs on the channel have attacked Defense Minister Galant for his statement of the need to stop the coup d'état promoted by the government.
The channel also attacks the thousands of IDF reserve soldiers, from its various units, who declared that they have stopped volunteering due to the coup - or alternatively express their displeasure and threaten that they will not serve as soldiers if Israel becomes a dictatorship.

Tavibi presents the main edition of Channel 14 alongside Sharon Gal.
She has actually been presenting since November 2021. Last year, the ceremony was presented by Lee Abramovich, a News 12 journalist.
