Mass shootings and fights have plagued the southern city in recent days, and only 15 police officers are deployed there and are having trouble restoring order. "People are afraid to leave their homes. Everyone was talking about the administration and in reality nothing is happening here," said one of the residents about the promise of the Minister of National Security to fight crime

The violence in the city of Rahat has been raging in recent days, including non-stop shooting and mass brawls, and the residents are helpless.

They are begging for an immediate reinforcement of police forces and wondering what happened to the promises of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gabir.

"The feelings are that people are powerless. The month of Ramadan should be a calm and holy month. But it's as if God gave them pills to go crazy," said Muhammad, a resident of the southern city.

"The situation is getting worse. There is no government. Where is Minister Ben Gabir? The residents have nothing to do. What is happening in the streets is a celebration of crime. The situation is in full swing."

Despite the situation, the police have no answer.

According to the mayor, Ata Abu Midam, there are only 15 police officers in the city. "There can't be a situation where people are being shot night and day and people are afraid to leave their homes. Everyone was talking about the police and in practice nothing happens here," said a resident of Rahat.
