Why do we not succeed in life as we would really like to succeed?

If we ask the people around us, they will give one answer: "We have no motivation".

The Rebbe Rabbi Yosiah Pinto explained in his class that when a person decides something - he must do it immediately, and not wait even 5 seconds and that way he will be motivated to succeed.

Rabbi Pinto explained: "You ask the person 'Why don't you work?'

And he replies: 'I have no motivation to work', they ask him: 'Why don't you start a business?'

And he answers: 'I have no motivation to open a business.'

They ask him: 'Why don't you get married?'

And he replies: 'I have no motivation to get married.'

What is this motivation?

Motivation - it's a thing of drive, desire and ambition.

And why does man lose it?

Because he is stepping out of his comfort zone."

"The moment you step out of your comfort zone - the mind blocks and stops you, and doesn't let you do what you wanted, and no matter how much you wait for motivation, no matter how much you wait for a push and no matter how much you wait for some sign or something to push you - it won't come. Why? Because the mind builds walls around you that you won't get out of Rabbi Pinto added in his lesson.

"And you need to know a great fundamental," said Rabbi Pinto, "that as soon as a person has a good thought to do something good - he has like an alarm, the head gives an alarm that something is supposed to happen within 5 seconds. The person's body gives like a substance to the whole person's body that puts the The person is in a 'market' state, and tells the person to be careful about doing it. Therefore, if you decide to do something good - do it immediately and don't wait. If you wait - you can fall because the intellect has put a 'veto' on it and you can fall and not do the good deed."

"Therefore," said Rabbi Pinto in conclusion, "the Gemara says about Rabbi Yonatan ben Uziel that every bird that flew over his head would be burned, what is the interpretation? Every thought that came into his head, he would not allow until 5 seconds - then the whole body goes into a defense that the mind Gives a warning and stops the body, but he would immediately get up and do it."
