A security guard was killed overnight from Sunday to Monday in an automatic weapon attack on Albania's largest private television channel, Top Channel, police said.
Shots were fired with a Kalashnikov from an all-terrain car passing in front of the television building, killing the 60-year-old man.

," police said in a statement.

Prime Minister Edi Rama denounced a "
criminal attack
" and expressed his "
solidarity
" with the teams of the chain.
The attack was also condemned by all political parties.
At the time of the attack, which occurred around 1 a.m. (11 p.m. Paris time), the security guard was in a glass cabin in the courtyard of the building.
This chain employs hundreds of people and many of them were still at work.
