A restaurateur was shot dead Sunday evening around 10:30 p.m. in his establishment in Propriano (Corse-du-Sud), we learned from the prosecution and from a source familiar with the matter.
The Propriano gendarmerie was "
notified by a witness of shots fired in (this) snack bar located in the city center, opposite the town hall
", said in a press release the public prosecutor of Ajaccio, Nicolas Septe.
The gendarmes found "
the lifeless body of Mr. Alexandre Faggiani, slumped on a table, his head bleeding
", added the prosecutor.

The criminal identification technicians noted the trace of several shots
," said the magistrate.

The prosecution opened "
an investigation in flagrante of the head of the assassination
", entrusted in co-referral to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Sartène and to the research section of Ajaccio.
