This commitment, at first sight, is a pledge of appeasement, a public resolution not to force any more;

a necessary gesture after the use of this practical but cursed article of the Constitution, on pensions, ignited the powder and gave fuel to the dispute.

But on closer inspection, Elisabeth Borne offers nothing other than what she has done since she has been at Matignon.
