Retired Deputy Superintendent Danny Elgart announced today (Monday) that he is returning the exemplary award he received for neutralizing explosive devices while risking his life following the legal coup.
"In today's reality, I do not feel that I am unable to wear the decoration in the name of the dictatorial State of Israel," Elgart wrote on Facebook.
"The circumstances in which I acted and I was ready to sacrifice my life have changed. I have no faith in the country that signed the decoration that made it meaningless."
