The liberal deputy said that he is negotiating to join an opposition front and that he spoke with Mauricio Macri about the issue. He points out that Kirchnerism "not only leaves in the next election, but never comes back."

The national deputy of Avanza Libertad,

José Luis Espert

, confirmed that he is in dialogue with the

leaders of Together for Change

-including Mauricio Macri- to form in the province of Buenos Aires "a

new opposition space against Kirchnerism

" and that intends

to go to a "mega STEP"

.

In dialogue with LN+, the liberal economist, who claims to be a Buenos Aires governor, assured that his teams continue touring the territory while working "very hard."

"The news of the last few days is that

we have begun to talk with Together for Change

," he said.

And followed.

"I have met with the main referents, the engineer Macri included, of course, with

Patricia Bullrich

, with

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta

, with

Lilita Carrió

, with

Raúl Cornejo

,

Gerardo Morales

... With [the radical]

Maxi Abad

I am going to meet next week," he said.

"We are beginning to talk about something very important, which is the formation of a new opposition space

where liberalism is part

. A historic fact after I proposed in 2021, for the legislative elections of that year, to form a great STEP. Now we would go beyond," Espert said.

"Not only would

Kirchnerism be a mega opposition STEP

, but we are seeing the possibility that liberalism institutionally forms part of a new alliance, a new opposition space," he continued.

And he said that the purpose is for the ruling party "not only to leave in the next election and be defeated, but also so that it

never comes back

."

"This is going to depend a lot on the economic reforms that we liberals can bring to this new space," he analyzed.

Asked if he would then go to a STEP against the JxC candidate,

Diego Santilli

, or other candidates who come from the hand of Patricia Bullrich, the deputy answered yes: "It could be,

the idea is to compete

."

"We liberals are competition: compete, and compete, and compete. And that's good for the people, for the ideas. The idea is that the ideas of freedom and common sense go as high as possible. The more competition, within a space opposed to Kirchnerism, I think it's better," he said.

Congratulations to Mauricio Macri

After Mauricio Macri's announcement that he will not run for president, and that changed the political map of the opposition in this year's elections, Espert highlighted that decision.

From the entrance mat to the dinner at the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth (CIPPEC), the one from Avanza Libertad indicated that Macri's gesture, for Argentine democracy, "has been a decision of great height

, very noble

"I

publicly congratulate

former President Macri for the decision taken, because

it distances us from all personalism

that has done us so much harm. I believe in his word, his emphasis on institutionality, to strengthen democracy. I have nothing but words of congratulations for him," he concluded.
