Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to announce this morning (Monday) the halting of the legal revolution.
Netanyahu is supposed to update the heads of the coalition on the decision at a meeting that will convene this morning, after which he is expected to make a statement to the public.
Following the sharp public reaction to Defense Minister Yoav Galant's dismissal announcement, pressure began last night in Likud, the coalition and the Prime Minister's circle to announce an immediate halt to the legislation, but Justice Minister Yariv Levin waged a restraining battle in nightly talks in his opposition to any halt, with the backing of members of Otzma Yehudit and religious Zionism.
The Minister of Justice opposes any arrest.

The pressure on Netanyahu to stop the legislation has intensified since yesterday evening, with his decision to fire Galant, which brought tens of thousands of protesters to the streets.
This morning, President Yitzhak Herzog called on the coalition and the opposition and said: "Come to your senses now! This is not a political moment, this is a moment for leadership and responsibility."
He urged the coalition to stop the legislative process immediately.
