In a message on social networks, the management of the museum explained that "due to an interprofessional social movement, the Louvre Museum is not able to be open this early morning".
On Twitter, the CGT spectacle has hijacked the Mona Lisa by aging it and adorning it with a sign "64 is no".
The initiative, on the eve of the day of demonstration on Tuesday, is part of a mobilization of cultural circles against the pension reform which could affect several other national institutions in the days to come.
