INTERVIEW – For Sébastien Leurquin, author of the book “The Confrontation that comes”, the violent clashes which marked the illegal gathering against a “mega-basin” construction site, this March 25 in Deux-Sèvres, illustrate the radicalization of some environmental activists.

Yes.

This weekend, we saw the worst-case scenario: police officers were injured and the vital prognosis of an activist is engaged.

It was predictable.

All the activists with whom we have been in contact for a year and a half, Anthony Cortes (Editor's note, the co-author of the book

) and myself, have been repeating since the end of 2022 that the events of Sainte -Soline were going to take place.
