An accident following a chase and involving three vehicles left three dead and six injured, including three seriously, Monday in Strasbourg, announced the prefecture of Bas-Rhin.
The three deceased people, two men and a woman, were traveling in a car that hit a tree in the Port du Rhin district.

A second vehicle ended up on its roof, and a third, badly damaged, notably had its windshield exploded.
Among the six injured, three were taken care of in absolute urgency, the other three in relative urgency, said the prefecture.
A helicopter was mobilized to evacuate an injured person, and a large fire and police force was deployed.
According to a police source, a dispute, linked to a “
material accident
”, would be at the origin of the “
race chase
” which ended in the accident.
According to this source, several families from the Traveler community went to the scene of the accident, suggesting that the victims belonged to this community.
