In the video: The Chief of the General Staff, Major General Herzi Halevi, visited the Tel Hashomer recruitment office today and met recruits and recruits for the war (IDF Spokesman)
Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi today (Monday) came out against the reservists' protest against the legal revolution in a letter he sent to all regular soldiers and reservists.
We know them well and understand that it is time to show responsibility," Halevi wrote. "Our enemies knew that we are all on our guard and no one abandons.
"
Expressions of protest have their place in the public arena - they have no place in the IDF, because here their injury is fatal," Halevy continued.
"Each of you has a personal responsibility to show up for the mission and carry it out without any extraneous considerations. We will close ranks, be guarantors for each other, and together we will improve the readiness for every mission, on every front, against every enemy, this is our shift."
Halevi also addressed the concern that with the approval of the articles of the legal revolution, the political echelon will use the army for immoral tasks.
"I, along with the commanders, along the entire chain of command, will lead the IDF and you also in these difficult days," added the Chief of Staff.
"I am responsible for every task entrusted to you. It will be a task to protect the security of the State of Israel and its citizens, and uphold the values of the IDF."
