Demonstrations in Jerusalem (Or Adar, Regavim movement)
Ariel University announced this evening (Monday) that studies there will continue as usual, unlike the other academic institutions in Israel that are on strike in protest against the legal revolution.
"This is a political strike, we don't believe in it or its way," explained the chair of the university's workers' organization, Hamda Hadi. "
For years, the heads of the Israeli academy have discriminated against Ariel University while criticizing it without merit, and therefore their call for joint action is nothing less than moral Double," Hadi continued. "The vast majority of university employees came to work this morning and will continue to act according to the dictates of their conscience."

The director general of the management of the National Histadrut, Itamar Sharoni, criticized the universities' decision to shut down: "Precisely in these times of such sensitivity to the unity of the people and the Israeli economy, the university management is working to intensify the damage to the economy.
We are experiencing complex, painful and unprecedented days for Israeli society.
We are witnessing a fatal injury to Israeli society, the economy and the resilience of all of us.
The events of the morning put the economy, on the eve of Passover, in existential danger and it is our duty to protect the pillars of the state at this difficult time."
At the end of a special meeting held last night by the heads of research universities in Israel, after the ouster of Defense Minister Yoav Galant, it was decided that all universities would suspend studies today.
"The legislative process undermines the foundations of Israeli democracy and endangers its continued existence," the academic institutions said in a statement.
"We call on the Prime Minister and the members of the coalition to stop the legislation immediately and immediately enter into litigation in order to reach an agreed and broad outline."
Many colleges around the country joined the decision to stop university studies, including Sapir Academic College, Bezalel, Emek Jezreel Academic College, Rupin College, Tel Hai College, Shankar and the College of Management.
