The airbags had deployed, the car was parked next to the road: the police were looking for the driver who had an accident - and found a woman who is now losing her driver's license.
Geretsried – Two emergency calls were received at the Geretsried police station around 10:35 p.m. on Saturday: An 18-year-old and a 35-year-old reported that a car with open airbags had crashed and was parked on Breitenbachstrasse in Gelting.
The callers said there was no sign of the driver.
The car had touched two boundary stones on the edge of the road and was no longer roadworthy due to the damage.

The arriving patrol officers were able to identify the 61-year-old owner from Wolfratshausen via the license plate, they paid the woman a visit at home.
The woman was heavily intoxicated and finally admitted to having been behind the wheel.
Because the alcohol test showed a value of over 1.1 per mille, the police accompanied the 61-year-old to the Wolfratshausen district clinic for blood collection.
They secured her driver's license.
Since the two boundary stones were moved and damage to the ground - amount: around 300 euros - occurred, the woman has to answer for drunk driving and hit and run.
The police estimate the damage to her car at around 7,000 euros.
