While participants in the demonstration last Saturday in Sainte-Soline, denounce the use of LBD (defence bullet launcher), the general inspection of the national gendarmerie (IGGN) was seized to investigate these shots.
This administrative investigation will clarify the conditions of use of these launchers.
Because there was indeed use of these weapons as finally recognized by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, on Monday, after having indicated a few hours earlier that the gendarmes circulating in quads had not fired with LBDs.

In a report from the national gendarmerie and submitted to the Minister of the Interior on Monday, details are provided on the use of ammunition last Saturday during this mobilization in Deux-Sèvres.
“As for ammunition, 5015 tear gas grenades were fired, as well as 89 GENL disencirclement grenades, 40 ASSR deflagrating devices.
