The man thought that there were no trains because of the strike.

He went on the tracks from Aßling in the direction of Munich.

But then came a regional train.

Aßling

- Because a man was walking on the railway line between Aßling and Grafing station because of the traffic strike on Monday, March 27, a regional train had to brake suddenly.

This was announced by the federal police.

The 48-year-old wanted to go about 40 kilometers from Aßling to Munich because there were initially no trains due to the strike, the police said on Tuesday, March 28.

What the homeless man apparently did not consider: On Monday afternoon, many railway companies gradually resumed train traffic.

The Regiobahn train has to brake suddenly

A train on the Bavarian Regiobahn in the direction of Munich had to brake abruptly shortly before Grafing in the afternoon in order not to catch the man on the rails.

A train attendant took the 48-year-old to Munich Ostbahnhof, where the police received him.

The man is now being investigated for a dangerous intervention in rail traffic.

He was later released.

Police warn against entering the tracks

The Federal Police warns against entering the tracks.

Even in the event of strikes or closed routes, rail traffic cannot be ruled out.

In addition to the danger to one's own life, travelers in trains are always endangered by people on the tracks and railway operations are impaired.

In addition, criminal charges due to dangerous interventions in rail traffic and the associated police measures are to be expected in any case.
