An unscheduled plane landed at Memmingen Airport because a passenger rioted.
The police took him to a clinic.
Memmingen – On Monday, March 27th, a fully occupied airliner landed unscheduled at Allgäu Airport Memmingen.
The reason for this was a drunken passenger who rioted during the flight.
The police said in a press release.
The 46-year-old man tried to open the plane's emergency exit door.
In his rage, he threatened and insulted the flight attendants.
The crew members could not calm the passenger down.

Pilot initiated stopover at Allgäu Airport
The machine was on its way from Dublin (Ireland) to Bodrum (Turkey) as planned.
Because of the incident, the pilot decided to stop at Allgäu Airport.
After safe arrival, officials from the Memmingen border police who were called to the scene took the rioters out of the plane.
They temporarily arrested him.
At first the man refused and resisted the arrest massively.
Investigation against the 46-year-old in three cases
To check the state of health, the officials took the 46-year-old to a clinic.
In addition, the police are now investigating him for dangerous interventions in air traffic, resisting law enforcement officers and an offense under the Aviation Security Act.
