Actually, the visitors of the Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich want to see the animals.

But maybe they want something else.

The zoo is now trying to get to know the wishes of its guests even better - with a very special campaign that lasts a year.

From Wednesday, March 29th, visitors to the Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich will have to be prepared for questions.

When they leave the zoo, employees of the market research institute DWIF Consulting want to know a lot from you: on topics such as customer satisfaction, animal observation and educational experiences.

Hellabrunn: From now on, surveys will be held for over a year

A visitor survey is beginning in Hellabrunn.

We conducted interviews directly on site, but also with the help of an online questionnaire.

For Tierpark, information is pure gold: feedback and ratings on services or offers, whether from consumers, customers or visitors, are some of the most valuable information that companies have at their disposal.

The results of this long-term survey should provide the Munich zoo with statistically representative knowledge gains.

Until March 2024, interviewers will be on site in the zoo on different days of the month every month and will ask visitors about various aspects of their stay before they leave the zoo.

The usually three to four interviewers present wear Hellabrunn vests so that they can be clearly identified as persons commissioned by the zoo.

They are employed by the market research institute DWIF Consulting.

Participation is also possible via an online form

The results should help to fathom Hellabrunn's educational and nature experience offerings and the expectations of zoo guests and to get information about the actual demographic origin of the visitors.

Zoo director Rasem Baban is hoping for interesting results: “By addressing them personally, it is possible to be able to answer questions directly and also to ask questions.

We are looking forward to the final results and look forward to many Hellabrunn fans taking part and supporting us with their feedback in the knowledge we are aiming for – whether directly in the zoo or via the online questionnaire on the Internet.”

Tierpark Hellabrunn actually wanted to survey its visitors for a long time

Actually, the zoo would have wanted to do this survey much earlier, but the corona pandemic made that impossible.

Tierpark spokesman Dennis Späth promotes participation: "The anonymous interviews - live on site or as a digital online variant - last about a manageable ten minutes." There is a small gift on site and all participants take part in a competition.
