The former president received the leaders at his offices in Olivos, after the decision to withdraw from a presidential candidacy.

Former President Mauricio Macri led a meeting on Tuesday with Buenos Aires PRO leaders seeking to

order the candidacies

for the Simultaneous and Mandatory Open Primary (PASO) elections.

Macri received them after noon at his offices in Olivos.

The pre-candidates for governor of the province of Buenos Aires Diego Santilli, Cristian Ritondo, Néstor Grindetti, Javier Iguacel and Joaquín de la Torre, mayors and legislators, arrived there.

Also present were the community leaders of PRO Soledad Martínez (Vicente López), Julio Garro (La Plata), Diego Valenzuela (Tres de Febrero), Héctor Gay (Bahía Blanca), Julio Petracca (Junín), Javier Martínez (Pergamino), Guillermo Montenegro (General Pueyrredón), Deputy Alex Campbell and Senator Alejandro Rabinovich, as well as Jorge Macri, head of the Buenos Aires PRO.

The meeting sought to begin purifying the list of candidates for the governorship in the province of Buenos Aires on behalf of the PRO, where Grindetti, De la Torre, Iguacel, Santilli and Ritondo are listed in the dispute, while from the radicalismo they announced their intentions of being governor Maximliano Abad, holder of the provincial UCR.

From the former president's environment they specified that it was a meeting in which they proposed "ordering" the internal candidates, but there were still no definitions.

Last Sunday, Macri announced - with a video on his social networks - that he will not be a candidate in the October presidential elections, stating that the opposition alliance Together for Change (JxC) "has managed to overcome this false illusion of the individual savior". and that the coalition should "enlarge the political space."
