The channel has redesigned its editions of "12:45 p.m." and "7:45 p.m.". New formulas launched from April 17th.

“No change in form without a change in substance

,” says Stéphane Gendarme.

This Tuesday, March 28, the director of information, accompanied by the technical teams and the presenters, presented the new information on M6.

Over the past year, the channel has completely reworked both aesthetically and editorially the “12.45 pm” and “7.45 pm” bulletins.

"We hadn't made any big changes since 2017"

, underlines Stéphane Gendarme before recalling that they had been avant-garde on the standing presentation or even a section on fact-checking, very popular since.

The DNA of these television news is

“the place of the image”

.

From next Monday, April 17, viewers will be able to discover more virtuality in their editions.

The stage is entirely in green background and allows a field of digital possibilities.

A space that represents nearly 600 m² with a 100m² screen.

These technical improvements, including progress in augmented reality, will be used for the dressing, subjects and thematic universes of headings.

For example, the set could - virtually and in a snap of the fingers - become a huge field of greenery filled with cows or even a movie theater if the subject addressed requires it.

On the color side, the original pastel blue used to image the editions becomes royal blue.

"A color that is in tune with the times and accentuates aesthetics"

, attests one of the artistic directors.

This new color will be integrated into a credits also remastered.

Who are the “12:45 p.m.” and “7:45 p.m.” jokers?

For the editorial, new headings will be integrated into the television news.

For example, "Inspire us" is a chronicle in ode to initiatives, to regions...

"Telling what is going well in often depressing news without making it the newspaper of good news"

, nuance Dominique Tenza at the controls of editions of the weekend.

The journalist will co-host this optimistic sequence every Saturday, which lasts ten minutes.

At his side, N'Fanteh Minteh who has already officiated in the region for France 3 Bretagne but also LCI.

The journalist also becomes Nathalie Renoux's joker and will take her first steps on April 22.

For the rest of the team, the temporary departure of Kareen Guiock caused some musical chairs.

Nathalie Renoux presents the editions of “12:45 p.m.” and Xavier de Moulin of “7:45 p.m.” week.

The team of three holders is completed by Laurie Deshorgher and Florence de Soultrait as jokers.

A composition that delights the director of information.

These novelties delight journalists, who have also participated in this new conception of information.

“This new setting is exciting.

We've been working on it for a long time, the countdown is causing emulation

,” says Dominique Tenza.

Nathalie Renoux supports the words of her colleague and is delighted to

"be able to adapt her text to the virtual environment that surrounds her"

.

For the presenter, the words will highlight the decor but

“for the rest, the work will remain the same”.

M6's newscasts are

"the youngest in France"

and attract a majority of audiences aged under 50 with an average age of 47.

However, for the past few months, the channel has been making progress on sexagenarian viewers.

"We are not the cliché of a young newspaper for young people"

, recalls Stéphane Gendarme before being supported by Xavier de Moulins who does not consider himself as

"

Le Petit Quotidien

de l'info"

(

).

In audiences, the “12.45 pm” averages a score of 1.6 million viewers per edition against 2.6 million for the “7.45 pm”.
