A resident of Jerusalem was arrested today (Tuesday) on suspicion of kidnapping his two grandchildren, after the welfare authorities issued an emergency order to remove them from the house following a divorce dispute between his daughter and her ex-partner.
According to the suspicion, the welfare teams came to his house with the order and in response the suspect told his grandchildren to run away from the house.
In his investigation, he denied what was attributed to him and claimed that "the children were afraid and ran away, they are independent and ran away to friends or I don't know where".

The children's mother, the suspect's daughter, was also arrested on suspicion of threats and trespassing.
According to the police, her children came to their father's office, demanded their passports from him and after he refused - went on a rampage and called the police on her instructions to report that they had been attacked by him.
In response, according to the suspicion, the mother arrived at the office and tried to enter the place while threatening, "You will see, more blood will be spilled here."
The mother and father were released under restrictive conditions.
