The District Court in Tel Aviv today (Wednesday) sentenced the terrorist, Benny Odeh, to 20.5 years in prison and 180 thousand NIS in compensation, who stabbed a 67-year-old man in Jaffa about a year and a half ago and injured him moderately.

Odeh, a resident of Kfar Tamon who worked in a restaurant in Tel Aviv, was convicted as part of the plea deal in which he confessed to the acts.

According to the indictment, according to which Odeh was convicted, on November 21, 2021, Odeh entered Israel illegally, when he decided to murder Jews because they were Jews.

He equipped himself with a knife and entered the country through a breach in the fence in the Tulkarm area.

When Odeh arrived in Jaffa, he wandered the city and then noticed an elderly couple walking together, he clung to the man's back and stabbed him in the back, neck and chest.

The man tried to defend himself but Odeh did not let go, and ran away when he was convinced that his victim would die from his wounds.

He hid in a mosque on Kidron Street and made contact with shuttle drivers, so that they would help him escape to the territories of the Palestinian Authority.

In the documentation of the event, the terrorist, who was 18 years old at the time of the attack, is seen walking from the direction of the sea in Jaffa, reaches the couple, pulls out a knife, stabs them and flees to the mosque.
