Before answering the questions from the Argentine press, Alberto Fernández took stock of the meeting: "It was a very good meeting that we owed ourselves. It is not the first time that I have spoken with the President. We have never had the opportunity to dedicate so much time to analyzing the concrete situation of what is happening in our countries and in the world".

And he qualified: "I am really satisfied with the meeting, with the meeting, happy because I am convinced that

the doors have been opened

for a strategic work and in conjunction with the United States."

On the other hand, the president was asked about the statements of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, who asked to investigate Cristina Kircher and Máximo for corruption.

"President Biden obviously did not touch on this issue at all, which is only the product of a delusional politician from the United States, there are political marginals everywhere, also in the United States."

In Washington, Fernández was received by the protocol secretary of the US presidency and in a welcome room where he signed the guest book and then went to the Oval Office.

Inside the office of the president of the United States, in the brief period in which the press was present, Alberto Fernández was heard explaining to his counterpart from the United States that Argentina was suffering "the worst drought since 1929" and asked him for help before credit agencies.

Biden's welcome

"We have been waiting for this for a long time," Biden told Fernández in the Oval Office, in the classic exchange with the accredited press ahead, welcoming him.

He was referring to the suspension of the summit in July due to Covid.

Biden stressed that they were 200 years of bilateral relationship and that the meeting was an "opportunity to reaffirm that nothing is out of our reach if we work together."

And he thanked her for her support for the war in Ukraine.

After several postponements since July of last year due to Biden's Covid and when few expected it to be fulfilled, Fernández was finally able to achieve his goal.

In addition, he thanked him for his support for the war in Ukraine.

The Argentine had a photo of him, in the midst of the crisis in Argentina.
