The bill, adopted by the Council of Ministers, significantly eases the conditions of access to the labor market for qualified workers from outside Europe.

Concretely, it will no longer be necessary to present a work contract to come to Germany, as is the case today.

In the same spirit, speaking the language of Goethe before immigrating will no longer be an obligation;

taking German lessons once installed will suffice.

The procedures for recognizing foreign diplomas will also be simplified.

The current rules for obtaining visas and work permits will be replaced by a “Chancenkarte”: inspired by the Canadian model, this point card system will make it possible to more quickly assess the “potential” of integration of candidates.
