With “Die Bergretter” the next farewell could possibly be announced.
Because the main character Markus Kofler wants to go on a journey to the Himalayas with Nina.
Ramsau - In the new episodes of "Die Bergretter", which provide a great feeling of home on ZDF after the end of "Der Bergdoktor", one farewell follows the next.
Right at the beginning of the season, fans had to say goodbye to two familiar faces and it seems as if Markus Kofler (Sebastian Ströbel, 46) is the next exit.

Very few viewers had expected this: In the very first episode of the new "Bergretter" season, Jessika Pollath (Maxi Warwel, 40) falls down a cliff and dies in the series.
As if the workload of dramatic turns was not already reached, her devastated friend Simon Plattner (Ferdinand Seebacher, 33) Ramsau says goodbye in the second episode.

Having to cope with such a double farewell right at the start of the new season – this is not guaranteed to be easy for the ZDF audience. To make matters worse, the end of the series by Maxi Warwel and Ferdinand Seebacher does not seem to have happened, because main character Markus Kofler has not done it either is now preparing to turn his back on Ramsau for a while.
Curious: “Bergretter” darling has the same name as the mountain doctor
In 38 episodes, Andreas Marthaler (Martin Gruber, 52) led the “Bergretter” team until he fell to his death under dramatic circumstances in episode 6 of the sixth season (“Cut off”).
Especially attentive ZDF viewers should have noticed: The former "Bergretter" main actor has a prominent namesake.
The mountain doctor embodied by Hans Sigl (53) in the series of the same name is also called Martin Gruber.
Himalayas instead of Alps: mountain rescuer Markus Kofler wants to leave Ramsau
After the separation from Katharina (Luise Bähr, 43) in Season 13, Markus Kofler is literally on the up again when it comes to love.
With "Bergretter" newcomer Nina (Josephin Busch, 36) it crackles enormously and the two are already making joint plans in the new episode "Schamlos", which is already available in the ZDFmediathek before it is broadcast on March 30th.
Markus wants to accompany the pretty camper on her Himalayan expedition - and thereby fulfill a lifelong dream.

Jessika's death and Simon's farewell left their mark on Markus Kofler - so a little distance from his cozy home village would certainly do him good.
On Thursdays at 8:15 p.m. on ZDF, viewers can find out how things continue for him and whether his big journey really takes place and is connected to his temporary exit from the series.
Meanwhile, an old photo shows what "Bergretter" star Sebastian Ströbel used to look like.
