The multiple sclerosis contact groups in Miesbach and in the Tegernsee Valley meet regularly again.

Flyers and postcards should help with the start.

District

– There have been two contact groups for people with multiple sclerosis and their relatives in the district for around 30 years.

Both - in Miesbach and in the Tegernseer Tal - were less active on the outside during the Corona period, says Anton Grafwallner, contact person for the group in the Tegernseer Tal.

The meetings are now to be given new impetus – with postcards, flyers and new appointments.

The postcards, which the district's former commissioner for the disabled designed himself, are not completely new to many: They were already presented at an information event for more consideration for disabled parking spaces in Miesbach.

"We reissued it and had it reprinted," explains Grafwallner.

The front of the cards show cars parked in a handicap space.

To this end, Grafwallner has formulated a poem that, in a friendly way, points out a possible penalty for illegal parking.

Flyers and maps are in practices and town halls

However, the back is new: "The multiple sclerosis contact groups Tegernseer Tal and Miesbach thank you for clearing the parking lot," is written there under the drawing of a wheelchair user who smiles at the viewer with a raised thumb.

If someone takes the postcard from the windshield wiper, a friendly thank you is better than a hasty announcement, explains Grafwallner.

He wants to distribute the postcards, as well as the flyers for the new contact group dates, in doctor's offices and town halls.

Group meets again monthly

The groups will meet once a month from now on.

Every third Thursday of the month from 5.30 p.m. in the Dürnbecker restaurant is planned for this in the Tegernsee valley.

The Miesbach contact group meets every first Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the community hall in Hausham.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether they have multiple sclerosis or not.

Age doesn't matter either.

Both relatives and interested parties are explicitly invited, the flyers emphasize.
