The arsonist of Nantes cathedral in 2020 was sentenced on Wednesday March 29 to four years in prison by the city's criminal court, which retained an alteration in the discernment of this 42-year-old man at the time of the events.
The public prosecutor had requested six years in prison in this case against Emmanuel Abayisenga, who suffers from physical and mental disorders.
In a separate procedure, he is also indicted for the assassination of Father Olivier Maire in August 2021 in Vendée.
