Seven people, five of Belgian nationality as well as a Turk and a Bulgarian, were imprisoned on Wednesday March 29 in Belgium in two investigations targeting "
possible
terrorist attacks
", announced the federal prosecutor's office.
These seven suspects have all been charged with "
participation in the activities of a terrorist group
", and five of them have also been charged with "
preparing a terrorist offence
", the prosecution said in a statement.
The police had arrested them on Monday evening, notably in Brussels and Antwerp during a crackdown in the jihadist movement.
