The Taiwanese president will make two stops in the United States on her way to official visits to Belize and Guatemala.
The two Central American countries are among the last 13 allies of Taiwan, since Honduras announced on Sunday March 26 that it would officially sever ties with the rebel island and establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China.
