Many globetrotters find inspiration for new trips from popular tourist attractions.
But sometimes the reality is sobering.
How many times have you traveled because you wanted to see a certain attraction and were ultimately disappointed?
Sights often appear particularly impressive or glamorous on social media - a little advance warning would have been nice that reality looks a little different.

which sights are actually not really worth seeing .
To do this, 99 tourist attractions worldwide were checked based on a wide range of criteria, including Google reviews, quality of local accommodation, distance to the nearest international airport, safety for tourists and popularity on TikTok.
The result shows: Travelers are most disappointed with the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
The famous sidewalk, on which the names of important stars from the American entertainment industry are inscribed, has the worst Google rating according to the analysis.
Some even describe the tourist attraction as "dirty" and "unsafe".

The second worst tourist attraction is the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.
With more than 4,000 shops on around 31 hectares, it is the largest bazaar in the world - but the business district was not really convincing in any of the five categories.
The famous Taj Mahal also fails travelers: Although the huge mausoleum is one of the most important sights in India, the distance to the nearest airport and the increased security risk for tourists throw the building back in the analysis.

Also interesting: Some of the world's worst tourist attractions include some theme parks - including Busch Gardens in Florida, Ocean Park in Hong Kong, and Everland Resort and Lotte World in South Korea.
So it's not necessarily worth making a long journey for an amusement park - there are also many great amusement parks very close by.
