Over 700 pages, 2 judges against 1 acquitted Roman Zdorov of murdering Tair Rada. The majority judges tore apart the shoe expert's opinion ("It has no purpose as evidence"), made it clear that Zadorov was looking to please his investigators and stated: "All the evidence decided in his favor." The minority judge: "He continued to lie"

"The accusation was wrong and it was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused was responsible for the murder"

- this is the bottom line of the verdict that today (Thursday) in the District Court in Nazareth acquitted Roman Zdorov of the murder of the girl Tair Rada about 17 years ago.

The verdict consisted of 705 pages, in which two judges, the head of the panel Asher Kola and Dani Zarfati, acquitted Zadorov in contrast to Judge Tamar Nassim-Shey, who was of the opinion that he should be convicted for the fourth time.

The first to speak was the head of the group Asher Kola who said that he found that Zadorov's confession, both to the dubbing and to the investigators, was a false confession.

After that, he referred to the opinion of the shoe expert on behalf of the prosecution, Associate Professor Yaron Shor, and stated: "There is no point in it as evidence."

"They called the defendant a great chess player, a pedophile, a sadist, a snuff movie watcher, and more. In my opinion, this is not a sadist, a sophisticated manipulator subject to uncontrollable fits of rage capable of murdering a little girl," said Judge Kola.

"It can be clearly determined that he is not a great chess player consciously. In the first meeting of the accused with the police investigators, he informs that he threw his pants. Would a sophisticated murderer, declare that he threw his pants in the first question asked? A real sophisticated murderer - he would not tell that." .

Judge Kola went on to say: "The accused did not watch pedophilia, snuff or violent films as the prosecution claimed. I was impressed by the accused as a polite, quiet, obedient and submissive person. A person who wants to please the environment. In addition, a version according to which Tair is the one who cursed against Russians - is not reasonable in my opinion ".

Another episode with Kola was about Ola Kravchenko and Adir Khabani, who were revealed in the documentary series "Shadow of Truth".

The head of the panel of judges hinted about their involvement in the case.

"There were real flaws in both testimonies. Contradictions and doubts that need to be explained," clarified the judge.

In the bottom line, his voice said: "The strength of the evidence at the scene outweighs his confession. They worked to reach the truth. We tried to turn over every stone. To Ilana Rada I say: "We tried to solve the mystery.

In part it may or may not have worked through us.

The late Tair, who was taken in her life's blood, took her secret to the grave."

The judge who agreed with the majority's opinion was Judge Dani Sarfati who said: "The only central evidence that meets the defendant's obligation is his confession. I watched the defendant's confession over and over again and got the impression that the confession is nothing more than a weightless hollow recitation of statements and scenarios presented by the dubbing (Arthur - AA).

I realized that there is nothing between these statements in the admission of spontaneous statements."

Farfati went on to say: "Arthur (the voiced actor - AA) had a critical influence on the accused. The majority of the evidence, the ones that were presented to me, turned out to be weightless. All the evidence was decided in favor of The accused. He did not know how to detail any competent detail and the attempt to present him as an explosive, vain and violent person completely failed in our eyes."

So Srafati wondered: "Why would the defendant murder a girl? Why would the defendant choose to kill at his workplace in a school that was crowded? Why would he choose to leave a file full of evidence, say that he threw away his pants, agree to hand over DNA? Why would he fear that she would be raped? The killer should not have feared. Why would he collapse Mentally? Also the questions of how can't be avoided? How is it possible that all the evidence at the scene does not match the story of the confession? How did the accused leave the scene of the murder stained with blood, go down and clean himself in the boys' bathroom as detailed in his confession and not a single eyewitness or forensic finding was found?"

The accuser failed to prove the accused's guilt."

On the other hand, Judge Tamar Nasim-Shei determined that Zadorov should be convicted.

"The web of evidence was tight and well-founded and contains enough beyond any reasonable doubt to prove the defendant's guilt for the murder of the deceased," said the judge, pointing an accusing finger at Zadorov: "His confession to the voiceover was reliable. He wanted to improve his legal situation. The retrial provided the defendant with an opportunity It is unusual to give an honest and true explanation for the false confessions, but he did not know how to take advantage of the opportunity."

The judge went on to say: "He presented new and distorted versions. The versions are not reliable in my eyes. He does not have a consistent version and his lies have changed like the other thread. He also lied about esoteric issues and matters unrelated to the murder. Among other things, he confirmed that he lied to the previous panel of judges."

Nissim-Shay also addressed the doubts: "It has not gone unnoticed by me that the picture of the evidence is not perfect. Thus, not everything the accused said in the confession was reflected in the reconstruction. Not every finding at the scene was presented with an unequivocal explanation. The witnesses' memory was not always complete during the retrial. However, As has already been said, not every inconsistency constitutes a reasonable doubt as to the guilt or acquittal of the accused."

Regarding Sharbuv Ola Kravchenko and Adir Khabani, the judge said: "I do not at all accept the alternative scenario presented by the defense that Kravchenko is the murderer. Adir Khabani plotted in a ridiculous way. It has not been proven that the hair found in the cell actually came from the killer and it is not possible to form a real statement that Adir Khabani is source of hypothesis".
