Minister Mai Golan to MK Merav Ben Ari: "Your croaking bothers me" (Knesset Channel)
Minister Mai Golan will be pictured on Sunday as Minister for the Status of Women, and a new government office will be established for her - the Ministry for the Status of Women.
Thus, it appears from a decision-making proposal that was distributed today (Thursday) for the consideration of the ministers for approval at the upcoming cabinet meeting.
Golan has so far served as a minister without a portfolio in the Prime Minister's Office and now a new office will be established for her - and the responsibility for the Authority for the Status of Women will be transferred to her, which today sits in Minister Amihai Shikli's Ministry for Social Equality.
The proposal does not specify the budget and personnel that will be assigned to the new office, and only states that a team will be established with the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Service Commission that will submit its recommendations within 45 days.

Golan joins Minister of Information Galit Distel-Atbarian, who was also initially appointed minister without a portfolio and later the Ministry of Information was re-established for her - whose powers and responsibilities are still unclear.
On Sunday, the government will also approve the transfer of the authority of government companies from the Ministry of Finance to Minister David Amsalem.
Amsalem was appointed Minister in the Ministry of Justice, in addition to Minister of Justice Yariv Levin, as well as Minister for Regional Cooperation, but he refused to be appointed to the position without receiving an actual area of responsibility.
Last week, as part of the attempts to crowd the ranks of the Likud ahead of the vote on the legal revolution, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that Amsalem would take responsibility for the government companies authority.
