Auctions: Will Heidi Horten's jewels lead to the sale of the century?

The sparkling private jewelry collection of this Austrian socialite will be dispersed under the hammer at Christie's in Geneva on May 10 and 12. It is rumored that she could also break all records.


Cartier, Harry Winston, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels... To say that Heidi Horten was a woman of taste is an understatement.

Unknown to the general public, this Austrian philanthropist is an unparalleled collector for jewelry lovers.

The fine pearl of Marie-Antoinette, torn off at auction in 2018 for the modest sum of 36 million dollars, that's her.

Harry Winston's Briolette from India, a breathtaking 90.38 carat diamond, is her too.

The latter is also the centerpiece of the auction organized by Christie's, during which 700 treasures that belonged to Heidi Horten, who died in 2022, will be dispersed.
