Despite this serious insufficiency, when Gaia can detach herself from the car, she sings Adele's songs among her favourites.
During the days of hospitalization it was she who left those who hear her breathless, because her voice enchants with its power and delicacy.
"She loves to sing because it's the only way she has to feel free and equal to the others", explains her mother Patrizia, who was at her side during the medical check-ups in Bologna.
"She is incredible - comments Dr. Villanova - she has an extraordinary strength; she is in love with music, and despite having that little amount of air in her lungs, she manages to sing. Probably - she adds - she has learned to use a

This allows her to have that tone of voice which is almost impossible for a person with her breathing capacity". Next Saturday she will be discharged and will return home to Sardinia. She goes to Bologna twice a year, for global care.
