Marinus Schimpf from Angelrechting (municipality of Poing) won the district competition for agricultural trainees.
Now he's going to the Bayern final.
Poing - Young farmer Marinus Schimpf from Angelrechting took first place in the district decision of the professional competition of the German rural youth.
He and second-placed Magdalena Spicker from Maisach (district of Fürstenfeldbruck) will represent the district of Upper Bavaria at the state finals on May 3rd and 4th in Weiden in der Oberpfalz.

As reported by the Bavarian Farmers' Association, the trainees in the theory part of the competition had to deal with specific calculations and questions about crop production, animal husbandry and agricultural engineering.
The second part of the competition included a presentation on "Public Relations in Agriculture".

In the practical part of the district decision, the prospective farmers had to prove their skills and knowledge in handling agricultural machinery and convince with their knowledge in a determination task.
The federal decision will take place from June 19th to 23rd in Rhineland-Palatinate.
