These two individuals, described as “very violent”, were prosecuted for having shot and killed this transgender sex worker, in 2018.

Two men were sentenced Thursday, March 30 on appeal to 17 years and 14 years of criminal imprisonment by the Val-de-Marne Assize Court for the murder of Vanesa Campos, a transgender sex worker, shot dead in August 2018 in the Bois de Boulogne.

This is a reduced sentence compared to the verdict pronounced at first instance: these two men had both been sentenced to 22 years in prison by the Paris Assize Court in January 2022.
